This Privacy Policy explains how GetToWork.online ("GetToWork", "we", "us") handles information when you use the calculators, read a guide, or use other features on this domain.
What GetToWork is
GetToWork.online is a set of free calculators for pay, hours, freelance rates, and meetings, plus a Library of guides and articles. The Library is an independent publication.
The calculators run in your browser. The salary, rate, hours, and dates you type are not submitted to GetToWork as form data, and they are not sent as analytics events. Requesting a page can still appear in ordinary hosting logs. Those logs record the address of the page, not the numbers you typed into a calculator.
This domain may also host optional signed-in features. Those features are separate from the calculators. If you never create an account, you can use the calculators without providing personal account data. That is not a claim that the site collects nothing: server logs, email you send us, and advertising cookies (if advertising is loaded) are described below.
Information we may collect
- Server logs. Hosting providers typically log IP address, user agent, and request metadata for security and reliability.
- Contact email. If you email us, we receive whatever you send in that message.
- Optional account data. If you create an account, we store details needed to run that account (such as name, email, password hash, and related metadata).
- Optional local browser storage. Some optional product features may store preferences or day plans in your browser. Clearing site data removes that local information.
Cookies and similar technologies
We may use cookies or similar technologies so the website can work, keep a session if you sign in, remember preferences, measure aggregate usage, or support advertising where allowed.
Session and security cookies may be required for basic operation. Advertising and non-essential cookies are handled according to applicable consent rules.
Advertising (Google AdSense)
We may use Google AdSense (and related Google advertising services) to display advertising on GetToWork.online. Advertising supports the publication. It does not change editorial conclusions.

Advertising cookies and consent

When Google advertising is active, consent choices for Google ads are presented through Google's consent messaging / CMP tools as configured for this site in Google AdSense. Those tools let you accept or refuse non-essential advertising cookies according to the choices shown. GetToWork does not run a separate third-party consent product beyond that Google advertising integration.
Analytics
GetToWork may use first-party, privacy-conscious analytics to understand aggregate usage of public pages (for example which calculators are opened). Analytics store aggregate event counts and short allowlisted dimensions. They do not record calculator inputs such as a salary, rate, or tax reserve. They do not record the text of notes or tasks, keystrokes, mouse movements, screenshots, or other invasive behavioral monitoring. We do not use this data for employee surveillance. We do not use Google Analytics as a behavioral analytics product on the public pages described here.
We do not sell personal information
We do not sell users' personal information.
Payments
If paid plans are offered and a payment processor is configured, that processor may handle payment information under its own terms. Card data is handled by the processor, not stored as full card numbers by GetToWork.
Third-party services
We use third-party services to run the website. Examples may include hosting providers, advertising partners such as Google, and email infrastructure if used. Those services process information only as needed to provide their service to us, and under their own terms and privacy practices.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the website and any information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
- You can clear local browser or site data for GetToWork.online.
- You can control cookies through your browser settings.
- Where Google CMP / consent tools are shown, you can accept or refuse non-essential cookies according to the choices provided.
- If you have an account, you can manage password, export, and deletion from the Account page after signing in, or contact us for help.
Children
GetToWork.online is not specifically directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children for the purpose of creating profiles about them.

We may update this Privacy Policy as GetToWork develops. When we make changes, we will update the effective date on this page. Continued use of the website after an update means you should review the revised policy.
