About

About GetToWork.online

GetToWork.online is a set of free calculators for pay, hours, a freelance rate, a project price, a meeting, or a time-zone overlap.

The Library is an independent publication of guides and articles that support those calculators. Topics include practical remote work, freelance rates, and focus.

The calculators are informational. They show the arithmetic for the inputs you type. They do not know your contract, your tax return, or the labour law where you work. If a result is wrong, email hello@gettowork.online with the page and the inputs.

Calculators

Pay calculators are gross. They do not apply income tax, social contributions, pension, or benefits. Freelance calculators treat a tax reserve as a percent of revenue you choose. Meeting costs, project prices, and utilisation figures are planning estimates. Overlap and meeting windows use the IANA time zone you select and the date you type. The currency control labels the result. It does not convert between currencies. Salary, rate, hours, and dates update the result on the page. Those values are not posted to GetToWork as form data.

The formula for each calculator is on its page, with a worked example. Shared assumptions are on the methodology page.

What you can expect

Guides include schedules, decision tables, and worked examples. Hypothetical examples are labeled as examples. Claims that need a source are sourced.

Standards live in the editorial policy and how we build content pages.

How topics are selected

Topics come from recurring workday failures: unfinished days, interrupt recovery, status nobody reads, unfair meeting times, rates that ignore overhead, and engineering focus broken by chat and builds. A page must name a specific problem and offer a usable method. Keyword demand alone is not enough to publish.

Editorial value

Guides carry worked schedules. Articles take one narrower angle.

Corrections

If something is wrong, outdated, or unclear, tell us. Material errors get corrected. The updated date on a page reflects substantive change.

Advertising

Advertising may support the publication. Ads do not change editorial conclusions. Data practices are described in the privacy policy.
