Editorial policy

This policy explains how GetToWork.online publishes calculators and guides.
What we publish
GetToWork is a work utility site with an independent publication of guides and articles: starting a day, protecting focus, handing work off, communicating status, planning across time zones, freelance capacity, and developer depth. We do not publish pages merely to grow a URL count.
Topic selection
Topics come from recurring workday problems: unfinished days, interrupt recovery, async status that nobody reads, unfair meeting times, rates that ignore overhead, and developer focus broken by builds and chat. A page must name a specific problem and offer a usable method. Keyword demand alone is not enough to publish.
Problem-first writing
Each indexable page should help someone do something clearer, faster, or more honestly. Guides carry worked schedules and decision tables. Articles take one narrower angle.
Sourcing and facts
Factual claims should be checked. We cite external sources for non-obvious facts. We do not invent credentials, case studies, or results.
AI-assisted drafting
Drafting may use AI tools for outlines, alternate phrasings, or first passes. Every published page is reviewed and edited by a human before it goes live. The maintainer is responsible for accuracy, tone, and whether the page earns its place. AI is not listed as an author.
Calculators
A calculator is published with the formula on the page, a worked example, and the limits of the math. The calculation is deterministic code with automated tests. A human checks the example against the formula before the page is treated as ready. Development tools may help write the page. They do not replace that check, and they do not produce the result a visitor sees.
Pay and freelance figures are estimates from the inputs. They are not tax, legal, or employment advice. How our calculators work states the shared assumptions.
Human review
Before indexing, pages are checked for a clear problem statement, original value, working internal links, and readable voice. Thin merges and redirected leftovers stay out of the sitemap. Substantial updates to a calculator or a guide are reviewed again.
Updates and corrections
Content is updated when a relevant fact becomes wrong or a method needs a clearer explanation. Material corrections get a note or a rewrite when the substance changes. The updated date on the page reflects that change.
If you find a mistake, unclear assumption, or broken explanation, contact us. We will fix material errors.

Guides and articles show a publish date and an update date. The updated date changes when the substance of the page changes.
